2023 - Pioneering Foodtech Innovators 

The inaugural Foodtech Next introduced the first cohort of winners tackling issues like food safety, sustainable packaging, shelf-life extension, and kitchen automation. Attendees heard pitches, explored collaboration opportunities, and built connections with industry leaders, government, and funders. Keynote speaker Michael Grantmyre (Osler) pulled back the curtain on Canada’s deal-making landscape, underscoring how M&A, venture capital, and strategic alliances will shape the path from pilot projects to scalable foodtech companies.
